Harwood

Since 1996, Harwood has offered Creative Roots, a free community art outreach program through Albuquerque community centers.  Children enrolled at the Barelas and Wells Park Community Centers are eligible for the program which takes place on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons concurrent with the Albuquerque Public Schools calendar.  Children, ages 6-12, work individually and collaboratively on projects with some of Albuquerque's most talented artists. In 2009 this program also started working with pediatric patients at the University of New Mexico Hospital.
