Deborah Secor has taught pastel painting to adult students since 1989. She received a BFA in 1979. Deborah studied for several years with Master Pastelist Albert Handell. She is the founder and first President of the Pastel Society of New Mexico and holds Signature Membership in the society. She also writes for The Pastel Journal and The Artist’s Magazine. “I enjoy showing students how to use pastels and spend a lot of time demonstrating and working one-on-one at the easel. My years of teaching have equipped me to teach all levels of experience. Teaching is a real joy for me.”
