Main: Amy Biehl High School and Escuela del Sol Elementary
"Civilization"

Students from Amy Biehl High School and Escuela del Sol Elementary create a collaborative installation in the Main Gallery. Artists explore the myths and facts of civilization in New Mexico and examine how indigenous cultures were affected by Spanish colonization.

"Suzanne Sbarge: New Work"


An exhibition of mixed media paintings exploring the process of growth through destruction. These new paintings incorporate desolate images of disaster, abandonment and decay with lush outgrowths revealing ever-present life. Plants and animals come back – different and anew, morphing, reanimating melancholy scenes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Upstairs North: Artstreet
"Annual Artstreet Exhibit"

 
ArtStreet, a program of Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless, is a community-based project and collective open studio space where art is used as the connection for community-building for those without and those with homes.

Visit Art Street’s Weekly Open Studio Hours:
Thursday, 11 - 5 pm
Friday, 11 - 4:30 pm
3rd Saturday of every month, 1 - 5 pm.

Upstairs South: Charl Agiza and Alice Nosworthy
"Xochomilco Celebrating the Sacred Feminine"

 
Charl, a Harwood studio artist, shows abstract works inspired from the canals of Zochomilco in Mexico. Alice shows sculptures based on the goddess figure throughout history.
