1. Crossing 2008
Crossing is an exciting art event encompassing up and coming artists from across the Southwest! The Harwood is hosting a juried show of graduate student work from all the MFA programs in the Southwest. Jurors include representatives of the Richard Levy Gallery, Patrick Nagatani, Santiago Perez, Catalina Delgado Trunk and representatives of the Harwood Art Center. The best and the brightest will be on display at the Harwood for one month only. Do not miss it! Learn more.

2. Written In Sand – Genesis in Pictographs & Petroglyphs
A Collaboration on Lost Cultures by 3 Contemporary Artists: Peggy Dobbins, Gao Feng and Dale Harris
Three artists explore lost cultures, including “Dwelling In Tents” by Atlanta installation and performance artist Peggy Dobbins. The show also features Karankawan pictographic sand drawings of Genesis according to Sor Juana's Arabic interpretation, “Worship Heaven” illustrations by Kumming, China calligrapher Gao Feng of the Naxi people's pictographically written Creation stories, and “Stories in Stone” scroll paintings inspired by Southwestern petroglyph rock art by Albuquerque artist and poet Dale Harris.
