Mondays, September 30th-October 21st (4 week class), 6:00pm-9:00pm

In similar style to the Plates Against Patriarchy exhibition, this class will cover tricks and techniques in creating compelling ceramic glazed portraits. The class combines painting and drawing theories and styles with ceramic glazing processes, resulting in pieces that are bold and visually dynamic. By creating their own tile surfaces and testing glaze combinations, students will render portraits in a unique way. The nature of this medium and process is somewhat experimental and unpredictable, but students will learn skills that can easily be carried into other artistic practices as well.

All experience levels welcome.
