Have you ever struggled to start creating artwork? Does the idea of a “series” of artworks seem daunting? So often the impulse to begin is hampered by anxiety or internal judgment. In this low-pressure, playful, and adventurous workshop, participants of all levels will experience Genesis: The Interpretive Discovery Exercise, a simple yet surprisingly productive and inspirational approach to art-making developed by mixed media arts and educator Lea Anderson. Each artist will come away with a series of 25 unique mixed media works on paper that will offer new directions with both materials and inspiration that will sustain and feed creativity far beyond the initial weekend.
