Class Description

Have you ever struggled to start creating artwork? Does the idea of a “series” of artworks seem daunting? So often the impulse to begin is hampered by anxiety or internal judgment. In this low-pressure, playful, and adventurous workshop, participants of all levels will experience Genesis: The Interpretive Discovery Exercise, a simple yet surprisingly productive and inspirational approach to art-making developed by mixed media artist and educator Lea Anderson. Each artist will come away with a series of 25 unique mixed media works on paper that will offer new directions with both materials as well as inspiration that will sustain and feed creativity far beyond the initial weekend. All experience levels welcome and all materials provided.
