About the Teaching Artist

Sara Asadi’s mandala teaching centers on creating an inclusive and therapeutic learning environment that fosters creativity, mindfulness, and personal growth, making it suitable for individuals of all skill levels.

With an extensive background in design spanning numerous years, she has acquired proficiency in various art forms. Since 2008, her professional focus has been dedicated to the creation of mandalas. Over the past year, she has established and successfully managed her own business, strategically promoting her mandala art. Additionally, she has been actively engaged in imparting the fundamentals of dot mandala creation to beginners through teaching initiatives.

Class Description

In this class, you will delve into the art of creating captivating dot mandalas. You’ll be introduced to the essential tools and materials needed for dot mandala art, and you’ll get hands-on practice with basic dotting techniques. By the end of the session, you’ll have crafted your own unique dot mandala design, exploring various paint types, brushes, and dotting tools. You’ll also learn how to layer dots for depth and texture, add intricate details, and seal your artwork for preservation. No prior experience is necessary. All materials, including paint, brushes, dotting tools, and surfaces, will be provided. This class will equip you with the foundational skills to continue exploring dot mandala art on your own or to advance to an advanced dot mandala class.

This class will be indoors in our Dining Hall in the main Harwood Building. 1114 7th St nw 87102

Thursday April 25th: 6pm -9pm

 

Who

This class is appropriate for teens (15-19) and adults (20 and up) of all skill levels.

$35 of the registration fee goes toward all needed materials

Refund Policy

Class Fee refunds will be issued on a case by case basis and requests must be emailed to Ruby (ruby@harwoodartcenter.org) at least one week prior to the start date of the class. The Class Fees will not be refunded if students request to withdraw from the workshop less than one week before the start date of the class or after the class has begun. If the class is cancelled by Harwood Art Center for any reason, the Class Fee will be refunded in full.
